• IP address and approximate location derived from IP address (we do not request or use GPS or device location services)
• Usage and interaction data (app launches, feature usage, navigation events)
• Diagnostic data, including crash reports and error logs (we do not collect detailed performance metrics or OS-level performance telemetry)
• Authentication and security metadata (login timestamps, session identifiers)

This data helps us operate the Services, maintain stability, and understand how features are used.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you choose to sign in using a third-party authentication provider (such as Apple or Google), we receive limited profile information required to create and manage your account (for example, name and email address).

We use third-party analytics providers, specifically Google Analytics and PostHog, to help us understand usage patterns and improve the Services. These providers process usage and device-related data on our behalf in accordance with our instructions. We do not allow these analytics providers to use your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

1.4 AI-Assisted Features

FreshChores offers optional features powered by artificial intelligence to help generate suggested task lists. When you use these features (such as generating tasks during onboarding or adding tasks using AI), we send the text you provide to OpenAI, a third-party AI service provider, to generate suggestions.

We do not send account credentials, payment information, or unrelated personal data as part of these requests. AI-generated content is provided for convenience only and may not be complete or accurate. You can review, edit, or discard any suggested tasks before using them.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the core functionality of the Services
• Generate, surface, and manage tasks and shared group activity
• Send optional notifications and reminders you choose to enable
• Improve product features, performance, and reliability through analytics
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates
• Protect the security and integrity of the Services
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell personal information.

3. Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

FreshChores uses analytics data solely to understand how the Services are used and to improve functionality and reliability.

• We do not use personal data for third-party advertising.
• We do not use data for cross-app or cross-website tracking.
• We do not share personal data with data brokers.
• We do not allow analytics providers to use data for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

Where identifiers are used for analytics, they are used only to support core product analytics and diagnostics.

• With other group members, limited to task-related and group-related activity visible within shared groups
• With service providers who help us operate the Services (such as hosting, analytics, and infrastructure providers), acting only on our instructions

We do not sell personal data or permit third parties to use shared data for their own advertising or marketing.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

FreshChores is not directed toward children under the age of 13.

Parents or guardians may allow a child to use FreshChores as part of a shared group for the limited purpose of viewing and completing tasks. In such cases:

• A parent or guardian must create, manage, or supervise the account
• Only minimal information necessary for functionality (such as a display name) should be provided
• Children's data is not used for advertising, marketing, or tracking

We do not knowingly allow children to create independent accounts. If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
